The 2364FA-MNC Power Module has a voltage rating of 575 Volts AC. It is manufactured by Allen-Bradley and it is made to be part of a high-power system with variable voltage. It features variable frequency power inverters that are meant for Distributed Power Systems or DPS’s. The 2364FA-MNC Power Module is made to operate in a diode bridge passed controlled rectifier, synchronous rectifier, or standard DC Bus supply to induct the motors using variable speeds and PWM or pulse-width modulation technology. The configuration of the 2364FA-MNC Power Module can be done with 1 of 3 output current ratings of 534 Amps, 972 Amps, and 1457 Amps, when 2 kHz carrier frequency is used with a range of AC input voltages of 250 to 820 Volts, 250 to 820 Volts, or 230 to 460 Volts and a nominal DC bus voltage ranging from 300 to 800 Volts DC. Operation at 4 kHz requires a derating of the AC input current and DC output load current while operation at 2 kHz does not.
Other standard features of the Allen-Bradley 2364FA-MNC Power Module include an IGBT power semiconductor bridge that controls the input and bipolar power into a single switch, input and output short-circuit protection with a fuse that is ideal for breaking the connection between the system and external device if the power level in the circuit gets too high. The 2364FA-MNC Power Module also supports fiber-optic communication with the DPS, and hosts the Universal Drive Controller (UDC) module. This module is plugged into the backplane and it is useful for controlling 1 or 2 drives at a time. Separation of critical and non-critical 115 Volts AC control power is also possible for ensuring that crucial operations are kept running during a mains power supply failure, such as operation in the data center servers in life-support machines and other types of important equipment.
