The Allen-Bradley 825-MD is a smart motor manager basic unit with a control voltage rating of 120-220V AC. This motor protection system has a frequency rating of 50-60 Hz and continuous thermal current of 4 A, as well as an amperage rating and full-load current range of 0.5-2000 A each. This motor manager’s maximum switching voltage is 400V AC or 125V DC. It also comes with an LED indicator that determines the trip or fault that occurred, a keypad input, and an LCD that shows a single-line of text but has the capacity to display two lines of text alternately. The contact configuration of the 825-MD motor manager is 1 NO 1 NC and it has an expansion slot that allows you to connect the motor manager to a Modbus, DeviceNet, or remote I/O network.
It has an operating temperature of -5-60 oC and a non-operating temperature of -40-60 oC. Its shock resistance is 30 g and its vibration resistance is 3 g at 10-150 Hz. Enclosure ratings of this motor manager are NEMA Type 4, IP65 and it is flush or surfaces mounted.
Features of this motor manager include phase imbalance, a programmable electronic motor overload protection relay with communication capability, a starting time monitor, jam (high overload), ground (Earth) fault, thermal overload, under load, and limited starts per hour. Unplanned shutdowns are minimized due to the 825-MD’s comprehensive monitoring, protection, warning, and diagnostic capabilities. This motor manager is ideal for low and medium voltage applications.
