The 825-MKD module is a basic smart motor manager module. It has been designed and manufactured by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation in the Bulletin 825 series of smart motor manager modules. The 825-MKD smart motor manager module's communication options are the DeviceNet and Remote I/O Modbus communication options. It can support 2-body simulation. The Allen-Bradley 825-MKD smart motor manager is capable of two-body simulation. It also has a single-line LCD, a keypad, and an LED status indicator that shows whether a fault or a trip happened. Note that its built-in display can show 2 lines of text alternately. This 825-MKD motor manager is also equipped with an expansion port compatible with remote I/O, Modbus, and DeviceNet connections, and the main relay and an alarm relay.
It has a 24V AC supply voltage and a 50-60 Hz. line frequency. The vibration resistance of this motor manager is 3 g at 10-150 Hz, while its shock resistance at ½ sine is 30 g for 18 ms. This NEMA Type 4, IP65 motor manager has an operating temperature of 23-140 oF and a storage and transport temperature of -40 to 140 oF.
This motor manager has the capacity to minimize shutdowns because of its capabilities in terms of comprehensive protection, monitoring, warning, and diagnosis. Its protection features include the limited starts per hour feature, the emergency start feature, the ground (earth) fault (Holmgreen) feature, the starting time monitor, the thermal overload feature, the underload feature, the phase imbalance (asymmetry) feature, and the jam (high overload or stalling) feature. You can use the 825-MKD motor manager for applications that need low or moderate levels of voltage.
