The 825-PIOD card is an expansion I/O card that is used for the modular protection of motor systems that are designed and manufactured by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. This component is part of the Bulletin 825-P product line and it is made in accordance with standards such as the IEC 60947-1, IEC 60947-4 (Type 2), UL 508, CE, CSA C22.2 (no. 14), and C-Tick standards. The modular system or motor relay that is available through the series is meant to protect 3-phase motors. These systems have protective features like overload protection, protection for locked rotors, ground fault protection, overcurrent protection, thermal overload protection, short circuit protection, and monitoring functions. The 825-P system also provides optional protection features like RTD-based protection and voltage-rated protection. Also, this system provides network communications options like the DeviceNet and Modbus network communication, along with variety of accessories that can expand its capabilities.

The 825-PIOD expansion I/O card has a coil voltage rating of 120 Volts AC and rated supply voltage of 110 to 240 Volts AC or 110 to 250 Volts DC. The unit expands the I/O capability of the system and it has 3 available inputs, along with 4 available outputs. The 825-PIOD expansion I/O card has a rated frequency of 50 to 60 Hertz and a rated insulation voltage of 300 Volts AC for its output relays. The contact reliability rating of the component is 5 milliAmps at 17 Volts while its mechanical durability rating is 10,000 operations without loads. The 825-PIOD expansion I/O card has a maximum power consumption rating of 15 Volts-Amps for AC operation and one of 15 Watts for DC operation. The analog output range of the unit is 4 to 20 milliAmps and its rated input impulse strength is 4 kiloVolts.
