The 825-PZ Modular Protection System is a Motor Protection System by Allen-Bradley with a core balance input, a PTC thermistor input, and a control voltage range of 24-48V DC. It is used for the protection of 3-phase motors. It is shipped with any compatible Allen-Bradley 825-MCM5, 825-MCM420, MCM180, and MCM630N current converter, with a current control from 0.5A up to 5000A, and a Voltage Input Option Card, with a 300V AC line voltage at 50-60 Hz, and with a Transition voltage range between 5 and 15V. The 825-PZ comes with a 1500Ω PTC thermistor input with a Trip Resistance of 3400 Ω± 150 Ω, and a short-circuit Trip Resistance of 25Ω ± 10Ω. It has a control voltage of 24 to 48V DC, with 15W power rating, and it has a Normally Open Relay contact, with a 5mA contact Reliability at 17V. Its relay output also features 4KV impulse strength, a 3A relay operational current, and with a mechanical durability of 10000 with no load.

The 825-PZ Modular Protection System has two 24V AC/DC converter inputs, with an ON state and OFF state voltage of 15V and 5V at 2mA and 0.2mA ON/OFF state current, respectively, and with an isolation voltage of 300V AC. It features a Core Balance Input using a Core Balance Current Transformer (825-CBCT), with a 0.5 to 10A current range, and a step-down ratio of 00:1 at 50-60Hz. It also features Thermal Overload protection, an optional voltage-based protection, and a RTD-based protection. The 825-PZ has built-in fixed keypads with a 2-line LCD screen on the front panel, and it has LED status indicators. It communicates via its DeviceNet Communication Port with 125, 250, or 500kbps of transmission speed, and it uses a #6 Ground Screw, with a 1.4 N•m/12 Lb-in Screw Torque. It is protected by a NEMA 4 (IP65) enclosure, and it has a functional ambient temperature between -20 and +60ºC (-4 and +140ºF), at 5 to 95% non-condensing humidity level. It is built to withstand an operational shock of 30G with a vibration of 3G at 10 to 500Hz, and it can remain functional at a maximum altitude of 2000m. The 825-PZ is CE, CSA, and UL-certified, and it weighs about 1Kg without the power supply and the converter module.
