The 8520-3S5A-BAT-EX4-S-1-2-3-5-7 9/440 Resolver Based CNC System Module by Allen-Bradley, is a 5kW, resolver-based CNC system module, with 3-axis capacity, and 2 closed-loop analog output systems, which incorporates digital drive system with the CNC control in a single unit. It is designed to interface with 1326 servo motors, and it provides high machine performance, in a compact and a cost-effective package. The 8520-3S5A-BAT-EX4-S-1-2-3-5-7 has a processor board that provides logic control, and a feedback board that provides excitation power to the resolver attached to the 1326 servo motors. It also has a 3-resolver feedback port, with a single encoder feedback port, and it can support up to 3 Axis modules which convert supplied system DC power to variable 380 to 460 Volts AC voltage which controls the phase, amplitude, and the frequency for regulating the speed, the torque, and the direction of interfaced servo motors. The 8520-3S5A-BAT-EX4-S-1-2-3-5-7 has an operating voltage range of 324 to 528 Volts AC (3-phase) at 50 to 60 Hertz, with an operating current of 6.5A, and it comes with a power output of 5kW. The system’s processor board houses the CPU, and it provides a direct connection to the fiber-optic ring, E-Stop string and to peripheral devices.
