About 8520-AMTB

The 8520-AMTB is an Allen-Bradley machine tool control panel with switches. This control panel is fully compatible with the 9/series automation parts. Through a control panel, operators can control data, perform functions, view system data and many other tasks. The Allen-Bradley 8520-AMTB machine tool control panel features an operational voltage between 11.5 and 13.2 Volts DC when it is on, and between 0 and 2 Volts DC when it is off. Its digital response goes from 1 to 22 milliseconds, and it includes a digital filter time. The Allen-Bradley 8520-AMTB machine tool control panel also counts with a keyboard and shift keys and switches. All these characteristics work together to enable the operator to interface with the control. Operators can enter data through the control panel keyboard, after the MTB panel push buttons and switches, at which point the signal is sent to the control via an I/O ring.

The keyboard and soft keys on the operator panel are intertwined into the 9/Series I/O ring through the keyboard I/O interface. Fiber optic cables connect the optical receiver and optical transmitter on the operator panel keyboard I/O ring interface to the I/O ring. The power supply of the Allen-Bradley 8520-AMTB machine tool control panel is through a 60-pin flat cable connector (CN51); it receives power directly from the controls main power supply. The maintenance of the Allen-Bradley 8520-AMTB machine tool control panel can be very simple; it needs a dust control to ensure that dirt or dust do not enter the cabinet. A connection control would be efficient to assure all the connections are working in a proper manner and a proper insulation to prevent wiring failures.
