The 8520-DSC cable is a spare parts cable for digital servo drives from the Allen-Bradley 1394 series. This Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation series of servo drives is meant to be combined with CNC systems from the 8520 and 9/440 series and it offers a wide range of different devices and models. The 1394 system modules are offered with power ratings of 5, 10, and 22 kilowatts and they are built for an input voltage of 360 to 480 Volts AC. The typical line frequency for the 1394 system modules is 50 to 60 Hertz. The 8520-DSC servo drive cable is used for units operating on 3 phases and with a servo motor frame diameter of 108 to 194 millimeters. The factory-installed options of the 1394 system modules are SERCOS network interface support, an IMC S class turbo integrated motion controller and integrated motion controller, and +/- 10 Volts DC analog input without a human-machine interface.

The CNC serial drive system module can have an auxiliary feedback which includes 2 ports for encoder feedback with the additional pair of encoder feedback ports. The CNC system modules can have 1 to 4 axes and they are available with axis modules that can have a power rating from 2 to 23.8 kilowatts. The 8520-DSC cable is designed for systems that are tested according to several industrial standards and systems which carry a CE/UL marking for compliance. The 8520-DSC digital servo drive cable interfaces with the system perfectly and the featured digital servo motors are directly connected to the axis module. It should be mentioned that the 1326 motors have the resolvers that are necessary for the commutation of the motors.
