The Allen-Bradley Kinetix 5100 series 2198-E2150-ERS drive is an advanced 15 kilowatts rated servo drive. It offers continuous and peak output current ratings of 78 Amps and 162 Amps, respectively. The input of the 2198-E2150-ERS drive is designed for 230 Volts AC voltage (three-phase, at 47 to 63 Hertz). The Kinetix 5100 series is certified by the RCM, CE, UL, KC, and ODVA standards. The operating range of temperatures for this family of drives is from 0 to 50 degrees Celsius while unused drives should be kept in an area where the temperature of the surrounding air is maintained between -40 and 70 degrees Celsius. Drive operation and storage outside these recommended temperature ranges can lead to component damage, poor performance, and reduced working life for the drive. The drive should be installed at altitudes that do not exceed 3281 feet above sea level.

The weight of the 2198-E2150-ERS drive is 15 kilograms and it measures 12.28 x 5.55 x 8.87 inches (H x W x D). Several accessories are available for the 2198-E2150-ERS drive, and these include an I/O terminal expansion block, passive shunt modules and resistors, AC line filters, a feedback connector kit, and an auxiliary feedback connector kit. The I/O terminal block is a 50-pin terminal that plugs into the I/O connector for control interface connections. The motor feedback connector kit allows for feedback from connected Allen-Bradley motors. The auxiliary feedback kit allows for master feedback and load feedback connections for the AUX connector.
