The 2198-C1004-ERS Servo Drive is a bulletin 2198 Kinetix 5300 series servo drive that is made by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. It is compatible for use with different kinds of rotary servo motors, linear actuators, linear motors, and induction motors. The holding brake option for the module is a spring-set holding brake which actuates when the voltage is applied to the motor coil. The 2198-C1004-ERS Servo Drive supports a range of encoder feedback types including the Tamagawa high-resolution serial encoder feedback, digital AqB encoder feedback with UVW, and the generic sin/cos encoder feedback with UVW. This drive uses 24 Volts DC voltage from the power supply to provide input power to the control circuitry. It comes with 2 Ethernet ports for establishing communication between controllers.
