The 2198-C1015-ERS Servo Drive is an Allen-Bradley Kinetix 5300 series industrial servo drive. It comes with a compact and modular design which provides greater flexibility than larger drives and allows for easy installation, commissioning, and maintenance processes. The 2198-C1015-ERS Servo Drive also provides integrated motion on the Ethernet/IP network. This module provides a powerful drive concept for quick and cost-effective applications. The 2198-C1015-ERS Servo Drive uses a variety of components such as feedback connector kits, controller platforms, linear actuators and motors, 2090-series cables, AC line filters, and external shunt resistors to build the complete Kinetix 5300 servo drive system. This module allows for easy integration into manufacturing systems and other complex systems.

The 2198-C1015-ERS Servo Drive has a 4-character status display and navigation pushbuttons for efficient monitoring and control. It also comes with 4 configurable digital inputs and 7 configurable functions that can be configured by using the Logix Designer application. Its digital inputs use 24 Volts DC and 15 milliamps from the power supply. These sinking inputs can be connected to sourcing devices. The main specifications of the 2198-C1015-ERS Servo Drive include 6.58 Amps of main AC input current, 19.75 Amps of peak AC input current, a 60-Ohm internal shunt resistor, 50 Watts of internal shunt power, and 387.5/377.5 Volts of internal shunt on/off voltage, respectively. It uses copper wires with a minimum rating of 75 degrees Celsius. It must be installed in a panel that has a flat and rigid vertical surface. It offers spring-set motor holding brakes. The enclosure of this drive must allow for ventilation on the right and left sides of the panel to comply with UL applications.
