The Allen-Bradley 2198-H070-ERS2 is a Kinetix 5500 Servo drive. This servo drive is designed to cater cost-effectivity requirements such as scalability for future enhancements with support for modern controllers for direct integration. Compatible controllers are the Logix Programmable Automation Controller (PAC) platform wherein drive parameters can be directly linked with CompactLogix, ControlLogix and GuardLogix controller. Integration with the Logix platform is termed as premiere integration. Communication between controller(s) and the 2198-H070-ERS2 is implemented over Ethernet communication network as the 2198-H070-ERS2 is provided with dual Ethernet communication interface that supports linear and Device Level Ring (DLR) topology. The 2198-H070-ERS2 has input supply voltage requirement of 195-264 VAC, 3-phase with nominal input of 240 VAC and 324-528 VAC, 3-phase with nominal input of 480 VAC. It delivers high-performance and scalability at a low cost with the motor windings matched to the drive ratings, providing more efficient system sizing. The 2198-H070-ERS2 also has dual Ethernet ports, allowing support for linear and DLR (Device Level Ring) topologies. The capability to run both the induction and servo motors in one drive platform further simplifies the system operation and maintenance. The 2198-H070-ERS2 offers an innovative common AC/DC bus connection for multi-axis applications.
