The Allen-Bradley 2198-H070-ERS2 is a Kinetix 5500 Servo drive. This servo drive is designed to cater cost-effectivity requirements such as scalability for future enhancements with support for modern controllers for direct integration. Compatible controllers are the Logix Programmable Automation Controller (PAC) platform wherein drive parameters can be directly linked with CompactLogix, ControlLogix and GuardLogix controller. Integration with the Logix platform is termed as premiere integration. Communication between controller(s) and the 2198-H070-ERS2 is implemented over Ethernet communication network as the 2198-H070-ERS2 is provided with dual Ethernet communication interface that supports linear and Device Level Ring (DLR) topology. The2198-H070-ERS2 is equipped with Bus Overvoltage and undervoltage protection as wel las short-circuit current detection. Bus overvoltage is detected at 440 VDC @ 240 VAC input and 810 VDC @ 480 VAC input while Bus undervoltage is triggered at 138 VDC @ 240 VAC and 275 VDC @ 480 VAC input. Short circuit current is rated at 200,000 A, symmetrical.
