The Allen-Bradley 2198-D057-ERS4 is a dual axis inverter that is part of the Kinetix 5700 Ethernet I/P Servo system. It allows interfacing of the feedback element of the connected Kinetix Servo motor for for identifying the current position of the motor.

This Dual Axis module features is provided with a ground screw and jumper links. The setting depends on the input power ground requirements of the filter used. Filters such as 2198-DBxx-F or 2198-DBRxx-F may be used with the 2198-D057-ERS4 axis module. Additionally, the jumper is not installed by default.

The 2198-D057-ERS4 dual axis inverter has a maximum velocity loop frequency of 400 Hz, Current loop frequency of 1000 Hz while the module’s Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) frequency is 4 kHz. This axis module delivers a Continuous output Current (rms) of 23.0 Amperes, while its peak continuous output Current is 32.5 Amperes. In terms of peak output current, the 2198-D057-ERS4 may provide 57.5 Amperes (rms) and 81.3 Amperes (0-pk). The nominal output power varies according to the to the supply voltage.
