The Allen-Bradley 2198-P208 is a DC-bus Power Supply for the Kinetix 5700 Servo Drive. It has three-phase 324 - 528V (480V nominal) RMS (root mean square) AC input voltage with a 47 - 63 Hz frequency. It has a module width of 85mm. It has 73.1 A main AC input current, 33A Max inrush (0-peak) current, and a 219.2A peak AC input current. Continuous and peak output current to the bus is 69.2A and 207.6A respectively. The continuous and peak output power to the bus is 46 kW and 138 kW respectively. It has an internal shunt resistance and shunt power of 13.5 Ohms and 200W respectively. It has 99% efficiency with 2050 µF internal capacitance and 453 J capacitive energy absorption. The 2198-P208 power supply has an innovative snap fit system which needs no tools and can be easily assembled and installed in the drive. It weighs 15.5 lbs. and has dimensions of 9.29 x 3.35 x 17.04 in. A single Kinetix 5700 drive can support up to 3 power supply modules. Additional power supply modules can be installed to increase power output to the drive’s single-axis and dual-axis inverters. The 2198-P208 has a simple, powerful, and compact design for machines requiring large axis counts and high power. The drive has an integrated motion and safety feature that works via the EtherNet/IP network, facilitating its use in large machines. The 2198-P208 is operated by supplying an AC input voltage range of 324-528Vrms, 3-Phase, and delivers continuous output power 46kW and continuous output current of 69.2 Amperes. To comply with the IEC (non-UL/CSA) Circuit-protection specifications, the 2198-P208 may be installed with 110 Ampere DIN gG Fuses, 140MG-H8E-D10 Allen-Bradley motor protection circuit breaker or 140G-G6C3-D12 Molded case circuit breaker. For UL/CSA Circuit-protection Specifications, appropriate fuse is Bussman brand with catalog number LPJ-100SP (100A) and molded case circuit breaker 140G-G6C3-D12.

The DC-bus power supply is designed to be operated at a temperature range of 0-50 °C (32-122 °F). For storage of this device, the environment temperature must be -40- +70 °C (-40- +158 °F). This device has a short circuit current rating of 200,000 A rms symmetrical and solid-state circuit protection.

The 2198-P208 DC-bus power supply module comes with Two (2) discrete inputs and Two (2) ethernet communication interfaces. This device supports zero stacking and comes with a Seven (7) segment display that provides feedback to the important parameters ang configuration menu of the drive.
