The 2198-S160-ERS3 Kinetix 5700Single Axis Inverter Module is a single-axis inverter module by Allen-Bradley used in many integrated motion control applications. The inverter has 400Hz/100Hz loop bandwidth, with a control (PWM) frequency of 4 KHz and an output supply of 85ARMS, 120.2A (0-pk) which maxes at 160ARMs, 226.2A (0-pk). The 2198-S160-ERS3 has a three-phase power output of 60.1KW, with an internal capacitance of 1120μF and requires an input current of 92.3A¬DC at 458-747V DC. The inverter has 4.6A control current at 24V DC power supply when the servo motor connected to it has no holding brake option and a control current of 9.6A also at 24V DC with brake enabled servo motor, and will receive an inrush current of 4A at 24V DC. The 2198-S160-ERS3 has an operational heat dissipation relative to percentage rated output power of the inverter, with 270W at 20%, 420W at 40%, 570W at 60%, 760W at 80%, and 950W at 100% usage of output power.
