The Allen-Bradley 2094-AC09-M02 is an IAM (Integrated Axis Module) with a safe speed monitor from the Allen-Bradley Kinetix 6000 series. It is a part of the Bulletin 2094 that are made for driving servo motors. This module belongs to the 200 Volts class of IAMs and it has a power rating of 6 kW. The 2094-AC09-M02 servo drive module is a digital drive component engineered by Allen-Bradley which monitors the position of a servo motor and generates a control signal for the same motor. In this way, this IAM controls the position, current, and velocity of multiple axes on industrial machines.

This Kinetix 6000 module has an AC input voltage range of 195 and 264 Volts at a frequency of 50 to 60 Hertz. It also has a DC input voltage possibility rated at 325 Volts DC. The 2094-AC09-M02’s shipping weight is 2.31 kilograms (5.1 pounds). To work properly in the Kinetix 6000 servo drive system, this integrated axis module must be coupled with one control module. The unit provides the safe-speed and safe-off functionalities that are very important for sophisticated machines to achieve the highest possible protection level. For installation, the 2094-AC09-M02 is installed onto a power rail. Compatible power rails are 2094-PRS1, 2094-PRS2, 2094-PRS3, 2094-PRS4, 2094-PRS5, 2094-PRS6, 2094-PRS7, and 2094-PRS8 Slim Power rails - or 2094-PR1, 2094-PR2, 2094-PR4, 2094-PR6, and 2094-PR8 Power Rails.

The 2094-AC09-M02 supports Serial Realtime Communication System (SERCOS) protocol. It uses Fiber optic media connected in linear or ring topology to build a network of 1 or more IAMs. This IAM is provided with a seven-segment display which is used to indicate the operational status of the drive, event, and fault codes.

The 2094-AC09-M02 through the SERCOS interface can be connected directly to a ControlLogix controller that is installed with a SERCOS interface module.

The 2094-AC09-M02 has a power dissipation of 14 Watts @ 20% utilization; 20 Watts @ 40% utilization; 28 Watts @ 60% utilization; 36 Watts @ 80% utilization, and 46 Watts @ 100% utilization. When mounting this module, minimum clearance requirements are 50.8 millimeters (2.0 inches) top and bottom clearance, while side clearances are not necessary.
