The Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation 2094-AMP5 is an axis module in the Kinetix 6000 axis module family. The module has an amperage rating of 5 Amps. The 2094-AMP5 operates with an input voltage of 230 Volts DC. The operating capacity of 2094-AMP5 is affected by higher temperatures in and around the module. Therefore, for the 2094-AMP5 to operate optimally, it should be installed in an environment with temperatures not exceeding 50 degrees Celsius and not falling below 0 degrees Celsius. The 2094-AMP5 should be stored in an environment with a minimum temperature of -40 degrees Celsius and a maximum temperature of +70 degrees Celsius. Whether stored or in use, the 2094-AMP5’s surrounding non-condensing relative humidity should not exceed 95% and it should not fall below 5%.

Additionally, when mounting the module, adequate clearances need to be provided around it. Note that the module only needs clearance on the upper and lower sides to enhance air flow. When installing the 2094-AMP5, electromagnetic interference should be minimized by following proper bonding practices. For proper bonding to take place, the surfaces need to be free from paint because paint is an insulator. Bonding metal surfaces create a low-impedance return path for high-frequency energy. The Allen-Bradley 2094-AMP5, as with other modules in the Kinetix 6000 family, has a rated operating altitude of 1000 meters and it can withstand a shock of 15 g for 11 milliseconds. The 2094-AMP5 can comfortably operate at a vibration frequency ranging from 5 to 55 Hertz at 0.33 millimeters, at a double amplitude, and at a continuous displacement.
