The 2094-BMP5 is an axis module from the Allen-Bradley Kinetix 6000 servo drive system. The nominal input bus voltage of the unit is 650 Volts DC (with 2.7 Amps of current), and its control signals can be anywhere between 95 Volts and 264 Volts AC. The 2094-BMP5 axis module is designed to provide a Kinetix integrated motion solution for industrial applications with output power requirements of 1.8 kW (with an output current of 4 Amps). The 2094-BMP5 comes with a 0 to 50 degrees Celsius (32 to 122 degrees Fahrenheit) ambient temperature range for operation and with a -40 to 70 degrees Celsius (-40 to 168 degrees Fahrenheit) temperature range for storage. It is made to be paired with Allen-Bradley servo motors that can be different types: low-inertia, food grade, and stainless steel.
The 2094-BMP5 can also operate with compatible linear actuators. For interaction with the unit, the users must install PC-based software available from Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation. For fast diagnostics, there are LED signal lamps to show the activity of this axis controller and its communication status, working status, and bus voltage status. The Allen-Bradley 2094-BMP5 accepts feedback from the servo motor and it controls and recalculates the control signal that is sent to the motor several times per second. It monitors motor behavior, adapts to it, and it prevents damage when it detects high currents or high temperatures. This axis module is fan-cooled, and it must be installed with enough clearance above and below it to enable efficient air flow through the module. The module shipping weight is approximated at 2.44 kilograms (5.4 pounds).
