The Allen-Bradley 21T-380097-A01 LiquiFlo transformer kit is rated at 3 kVA and 120 Volts AC. The transformer is used to eliminate a variety of problems. One of these problems is currents that can develop and damage the LiquiFlo 2.0 AC drives when a point in the drive is grounded. Another problem that this kit eliminates is line voltage transients that can result in damage to the drive. It also prevents the line noise coming from the LiquiFlo drive from returning to the incoming power supply. When installing the Allen-Bradley 21T-380097-A01 LiquiFlo transformer kit, the technicians need to observe the following guidelines. First, they must install a power disconnecting device between the main transformer and the power line. Secondly, if they are using a circuit breaker as the power disconnecting device, the circuit breaker's trip rating must be equivalent to the transformer’s inrush current. Also, the technicians should check if the transformer’s rating matches the requirements of the drive and that it is installed correctly.
During the installation of the Allen-Bradley 21T-380097-A01 LiquiFlo transformer kit, the users might experience drive faults. However, there are several corrective actions that can be taken if faults occur. An "AC Line Lost Fault" (No. 227, Type 4) means that input power was lost, and the corrective action that is required in this situation is to inspect the fuse at the control transformer. An "Rctfr Not OK Fault" (No. 232, Type 4) means there was a fault encountered on the rectifier but not shown on the inverter, and the required corrective action in this situation is to inspect the fuse at the Line Sync PCB control transformer and replace it if it is blown. Note that the Allen-Bradley 21T-380097-A01 LiquiFlo transformer kit is a LiquiFlo 2.0 power module replacement part for the Frame 4 drives only.
