The Allen-Bradley 22A-A8P0H204 drive belongs to the PowerFlex 4 family. This IP20 plate drive regulates the motor speed of automated equipment and the front of the plate drive has been adapted to the IP20 and NEMA/UL environmental ratings**.** The drive’s power supply relies on AC voltage between 200 and 240 Volts AC. It consumes 1.5 kilowatts of power to produce a current of 8 Amps with 2 Horsepower. A frequency between 50 and 60 Hertz makes up the single phase of the drive’s AC wave. The 22A-A8P0H204, whose frame size is “B”, has no EMC compatible filter. The height, width, and depth of the drive are 12.5 centimeters, 20.4 centimeters, and 9.75 centimeters, respectively.

The user can mount one or more 22A-A8P0H204 drives on a DIN rail or a panel. The temperature in the space between the drives should not exceed 40 degrees Celsius. The 22A-A8P0H204’s integral keypad comes with control keys and a local potentiometer that enables the user to operate the drive externally. The keypad can either be remote or handheld and both types feature a copycat function. A basic program group contains the ten basic application parameters. The control keys enable an operator to program the 22A-A8P0H204 drive using the RS-485 communication port, which enables a multi-drop configuration of the network. The DF1 port enables connectivity of the personal computer to any controller via a serial converter module. The screen displays four digits**.** A relay pre-charge minimizes current build-up. A brake resistor reduces the rush of current. A user can also set the DIP switch to 24 Volts of DC power so that control wiring is adjustable. The clandestine operation is enabled by an adjustable PWM frequency that does not exceed 16 kHz.
