The Allen-Bradley 22B-A5P0N104 is a PowerFlex 40 adjustable Frequency AC drive. The drive’s electrical output parameters include input ratings of 200-240VAC, 1-Phase, voltage with 47-63 Hz frequency. It requires 12 A input current and 2.45 kVA. It delivers an output voltage of 0-230VAC, 3-Phase and delivers output power of 0.75 kW or 1.0 HP with fully-programmable frequency of 0-400 Hz.

The 22B-A5P0N104 does not come with branch circuit protection. This must be separately designed and installed by the user as this circuit plays an important role in isolating and putting the drive in operation or maintenance mode as well as protect the unit from inrush current and voltages. Branch protection are typically composed of circuit breakers and fuses. Allen-Bradley recommends use of 20A fuse with 140M motor protector with catalog number of 140M-C2E-C16 and contactor of 100-C12.

This drive is capable of Sensorless Vector Control (SVC) for implementing motor speed control. This control method delivers exceptional speed control and produces high level of Torque along the supported speed range of the drive. Additionally, the 22B-A5P0N104 supports drive autotune function to adapt to different and varying motor and process characteristics. Additionally, it comes with integral Proportional + Integral + Derivative (PID) that allows the drive to act as a stand-alone controller, Variable Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) for increased current flow at low frequency level, Timer, Counter, Basic Logic and StepLogic functions.

The 22B-A5P0N104 adjustable frequency drive also has a power dissipation of 55W, as well as typical input/output efficiency of 97.5% and a programmable output frequency of 0-400 Hz. The 22B-A5P0N104 drive is also a panel-mounted drive with a NEMA open-type, IP20 enclosure that is equipped with a fixed keypad human interface module (HIM) with a speed pot, as well as an IGBT brake.
