The 22B-A8P0C104 is an AC drive from Allen Bradley that belongs to the PowerFlex 40 AC drive family. With a compact design and its built-in sensor vector control, this drive can provide immense motor speed control and high levels of torque for applications. It is the smallest member of the PowerFlex Drives’ family and can be used to control materials handling systems, fans, conveyors, pumps, and machine tools.  This drive is a single phase drive and has a voltage rating of 240 Volts AC at 50 to 60 Hertz. Its output current is 8 Amps at around 1.5 kW and 2.0 HP. With its flexible packaging options, installing the 22B-A8P0C104 drive is a quick and easy process. As a Frame B drive, this module can be installed using DIN rail mounting, virtual snap, or a panel mounting. With an IP66 NEMA/UL Type 4x/12 enclosure, this module can be installed precisely in the production environment.  Multiple drives can be installed next to each other using the Zero-Stacking method without any space between them, thus saving valuable space.  In such circumstances, the ambient temperature must not exceed 40 to 50 degrees Celsius. The 22B-A8P0C104 has no CE compliant filter, however it is UL certified as resistant to dust, dirt, and more.  It is also certified and approved by CE, cUL, and C-Tick. Programming the 22B-A8PC104 is easy and quick with the drive’s fixed keypad and with 10 of the most common applications in the Basic Program Group. There is also a 4-digit display and 10 LED indicators on the front panel that provide intuitive information about the drive’s status and operations. With integrated RS-485 communications, this drive can be programmed by a PC as well as used in a multi-drop network configuration.  Connectivity to any controller with a DF1 port can be completed via an optional serial converter module if installed. Further options for communications, through integral cards, include LonWorks, ControlNet, DeviceNet, EtherNet/IP, and PROFIBUS DP. When an optional DSI Wireless Interface Module is installed, a laptop computer, Pocket PC, or desktop computer and any Allen Bradley product with the DSI protocol can communicate with each other using Bluetooth wireless technology.
