The Allen-Bradley 22C-B012H103 PowerFlex 400 2.2kW AC Drive is a Rockwell Automation/Allen-Bradley product. This drive features an IP20, NEMA/UL Type 1 enclosure which is for conventional mounting inside or outside of the control cabinet in a 45 degrees Celsius or 113 degrees Fahrenheit ambient temperature. The 22C-B012H103 also has a flange type mount, and Frame C ratings through 15 kW (20 Horsepower) at 380 to 480 Volts AC and 7.5 kW (10 Horsepower) at 200 to 240 Volts AC, allowing the mounting of a heatsink through the back of the enclosure which will get rid of a lot of the heat in the cabinet.
In the back, it is rated with IP66 NEMA/UL Type 4X/12 enclosure for both indoor and outdoor use. Also, its installation process is flexible and enhanced by the UL Plenum rating which allows for direct mounting in an air handling system. The Allen-Bradley 22C-B012H103 PowerFlex drive supports the Drive Serial Interface (DSI) communication modules which include the DeviceNet, EtherNet/IP, PROFIBUS DP, LonWorks, BACnet networks and several accessories. The drive is embedded with the Modbus RTU, P1-FLN, and Metasys N2 protocols that are parameter selectable and come without any additional hardware or software.
The Integral RS485 communications of the Allen-Bradley 22C-B012H103 PowerFlex drive can be used for programming through a PC. Moreover, it can be used in a multi-drop network configuration. This is a serial converter module that provides connectivity to any controller with a DF1 port. By using the Serial Converter Module and the DriveExplorer or DriveTools, the SP software and the programming is simplified a great deal. The PowerFlex 400 has an in-built Proportional, Integral, and Differential (PID) control loop. This PID loop is used to conserve a process variable, like pressure or flow, at a specified point. The PID loop subtracts PID feedback from the reference point then generates and comes up with an error value. The PID loop reacts to the error, depending on PID gains, and outputs the frequency in an attempt to reduce the error value to zero.
