The 22C-D017N103 is part of the Allen-Bradley PowerFlex 400 adjustable AC drive frequency series. It has 480 Volts of 3-phase AC power. The drive is suitable for fan and pump systems and its cost-effective compact design facilitates control of the motor speed. The 22C-D017N103 drive comes with a range of convenient features including 3 semi-programmable and 4 fully programmable digital inputs, 2 analog I/Os, 2 programmable relays, and 1 opto output. It comes with a panel mounting for easy installation and has an IP30, NEMA /UL type open enclosure that protects it from solid objects up to 12 millimeters in size. It can operate in a noisy environment over long distances due to the embedded RS-485 communication port.

The 22C-D017N103 drive can be connected to the fire alarm via a purge or Function Loss input on the drive. It has a proportional, integral, and differential (PID) control loop that maintains pressure, a built-in damper, and an auxiliary motor control. It also comes with ground fault, motor overload and transient protection. The 22C-D017N103 uses the Logix control platform that simplifies parameter and tag programming which in turn reduces development time.

The 22C-D017N103 supports several starting and stopping modes such as flying start, ramp-up and ramp-down, controlled acceleration and deceleration as well as idle responses such as sleep and wake features. These are some of the features that allow the 22C-D017N103 to efficiently operate and save power consumption.

It delivers a continuous voltage and current output of 0-460 VAC, 3-Phase and 17 Amperes respectively, along a frequency range of 0-400 Hz. It may be used with CA motors that are rated 10.0 HP (7.5.0 KW).

Advanced functionalities such as slip compensation and Process PID is also supported by this drive. With Process PID, the drive may act as a Proportional + Integral + Derivative controller, enabling fully automatic control of speed based on the configured setpoint and feedback reference provided by a specific process variable.
