The 22D-D017N104, also known as the PowerFlex 40P, is an AC drive that is used to address the requirements of closed-loop control in a cost-effective and compact design. It is made on the platform of popular Powerflex 40 and comes with the same options and accessories. The PowerFlex 40 P comes in 0.4 to 11 kW ratings, which mean 0.5 to 15 HP powers and under voltage ratings of 240, 480 and 600 Volts. The 22D-D017N104 AC drive is used to control the speed of applications such as diverters, synthetic fiber spinning machines, drafting machines, ring spinning machines, smart conveyors, packaging machines, and palletizers.

The 22D-D017N104 AC drives are easy to use and created to meet the global OEM and end-user demands of flexibility and saving space. The PowerFlex 40 P AC drive can be used for programming with the help of an external HIM or DSI connection and computer programming tool. This drive can easily be reset and the display parameters easily changed, using the integral reset and display button. A four (4) digit display with ten (1)0 LED indicators is contained in the 22D-D017N104 AC drive, which shows information and drive statuses. The drive comes with various control functions including a timer function, counter function, basic logic, velocity, and basic step logic functions. The 22D-D017N104 can be connected to a device that takes the place of an RTU master and can support 16, 03, or 06 RTU commands. The integral RS 485 communication port is given in order to use the drive with multi-drop networks. The user can also improve the performance of the device using integral communication cards such as DeviceNet, Ethernet /IP, PROFIBUS DP, LonWorks, and Control Net.
