The Allen-Bradley 22D-E6P6F104 is an adjustable frequency drive which falls in the PowerFlex P40 series. The 22D-E6P6F104 has a voltage rating of 600 Volts AC and supports a 3-phase power supply. The current rating for the 22D-E6P6F104 is 6.6 Amps, a kilowatt rating of 4.0 and a Horsepower rating of 5.0 Horsepower. For the maximum performance of the drive, it should be mounted in an open type flange mount enclosure that has an IP20 international protection rating. The 22D-E6P6F104 works with other drives in the PowerFlex P40 family by providing a sensorless vector control feature with encoder feedback, a position regulator, and a digital-based positioning system. The 22D-E6P6F104 is used in smart conveyors and simple indexing applications, among other things. Note that all PowerFlex drives are manufactured with a ground fault protection that activates during startup, and when it is in operation electronic motor overload protection activates. The two protection features ensure a smooth operation and increase the days the motor operates. The 22D-E6P6F104 is wired using a terminal block.
Adjustable frequency drives with the 22D-E6P6 Bulletin module have a branch circuit protection feature that has 15 fuses, the 140MD8E-C10 motor protector, and the 100-C09 contactors. Additionally, these drives have a power dissipation of 160 watts. The 22D-E6P6F104 adjustable frequency drive has UL508C, CAN/CSA-22.2, and AS/NZS (1997 group 1, class A) certifications. Also, all PowerFlex P40 drives with a flange mount requirement have a heatsink that accommodates a temperature of between -10 and +40 degrees Celsius and a convection cooling method. Note that the 22D-E6P6F104 is not meant to be operated in environments with vapors, dust, and corrosive gas.
