The Allen-Bradley 22F-V1P6N103 is a PowerFlex 4M adjustable Frequency AV drive. This drive is mostly composed of electronic parts and circuitry that is packaged in an IP 20 (NEMA Type Open) enclosure. This device is a compact, Panel mounted device that is mainly used to control the speed of an AC motor. It also provides motor protective motor start-up and shutdown sequences and increases efficiency of motor operation during active operation and idle time.

The 22F-V1P6N103 has fully programmable parameters such as frequency output, acceleration, deceleration, ramp-up, ramp down among many other parameters. This drive has built-in protection and diagnostic circuitries that detect operational abnormalities including Motor Overvoltage, Motor undervoltage, Motor stalled, Phase to ground fault, short circuit fault, Heatsink overtemperature, Overcurrent, Overload and other internal diagnostic and statuses.

The 22F-V1P6N103 is designed to be operated at an input voltage range of 100-120VAC, 1-phase and delivers output voltage of 0-230VAC, 3-Phase, with rated Current of 1.6 A and Power of 0.2 kW (0.25 HP). This motor does not come with built-in brand protection circuitry. With this, the user must provide this circuitry by using a combination of fuses or circuit brakers. Compatible Allen-Bradley circuit braker is 140M-C2E-C10 while magnetic contactor is 100-C09. It has a fully programmable frequency output of 0-400 Hz with typical efficiency of 97.5 %.

This adjustable frequency AC drive is supplied with a built-in Human Interface Module (HIM). This HIM component allows local parameterization of the drive ad operation. It also permits navigation of drive parameters and troubleshooting of the unit in the event of faulted state.

The intermittent current which can be sustained (overload protection) is 150% for 60 seconds or 200% for 3 seconds. Start, speed and direction commands can be operated over the integral keypad, terminals or an RS485 (DSI) port. Its parameters are easily viewed and edited over the integral keypad. Its dimensions are 72 x 174 x 136 millimeters (2.83 x 6.85 x 5.35 inches) and its weight is 1.6 kilograms (3.5 pounds). It is intended for installation on 35 millimeter DIN rail. A zero stacking option is available for ambient temperatures less than 40 degrees Celsius. Feed-through wiring reduces installation time. The 22F-V1P6N103 AC drive, the smallest representative of the PowerFlex 4M family which does not make available branch short circuit protection, should be installed with either fuses or circuit breakers on its input side. Its control wiring must not exceed 30 meters.
