From the industry leading manufacturer of drives, Allen Bradley™, comes this effective PowerFlex 25A-A4P8N114 AC drive. Designed with great versatility, the 25A-A4P8N114 has an impressive design that works with systems ranging from simple system integration to standalone machines.
The PowerFlex 25A-A4P8N114 AC drive supports one accessory card. It has a standard control module that is used across its whole power range. Its detachable power and control modules allow for simultaneous installation and configuration. And with its MainsFree™ Configuration, a control module can be connected to a PC with standard USB cable. This facilitates a speedy uploading, downloading and flashing of the drive with new settings.
As a frame A drive, its installation can be easily and quickly carried out using the DIN rail mount. For additional flexibility, panel mounting has also been provided. This unit fits into an IP30, NEMA/UL Type 1 conduit box; this external unit is an optional feature that will increase environmental ratings and can be easily changed to fit this IP20 (NEMA Type Open) product. In ambient temperatures of up to 45 degrees Celsius, Zero Stacking™ is allowed, thereby saving valuable panel space. All 400 and 200 Volt ratings in the PowerFlex AC series have an integral filtering feature, allowing these drives to meet the EN61800-3 Category C2 and C3 EMC standards in a cost-effective way. By using external filters, compliance to EN61800-3 Category C1, C2 and C3 requirements can be assured.
For optimized performance, the 25A-A4P8N114 is designed with a relay pre-charge that limits inrush current. It contains an integral brake transistor, offering dynamic braking capabilities with simple low-cost brake resistors, a removable MOV to ground connection that provides hassle-free operation when used on ungrounded distribution systems, an adjustable PWM frequency of up to 16 kHz that ensures silent operation, a jumper that can switch between 24 Volt DC sink or source control for control wiring flexibility, and dual overload ratings. For control performance, this drive has a variety of motor control options such as sensorless vector control (SVC) and volts per hertz (V/Hz). It has PointStop™ as well, which stops motor load in a consistent position without encoder feedback and has one PID loop that enhances application and flexibility.
The PowerFlex 25A-A4P8N114 AC drive has five digital inputs (four of which are programmable) which provide application versatility. It has one form C relay output to indicate various drive, motor and logic statuses and conditions. It contains one scalable 10-bit analog output which is jumper selectable between either 0 to 10 Volts or 0 to 20 mA that is suitable for speed referencing or metering to other devices. Additionally, it has one analog input, unipolar voltage or current, that is independently isolated from the rest of the drive’s I/O.
The 25A-A4P8N114 AC drive has a variety of communications options. Its integral RS485/DSI communication ports enable it to be used in a multi-drop network configuration. It can easily be built on a network through the use of online EDS file creation with RSNetWorx™. Fault-tolerant connectivity for maximum drive availability is assured with the dual port EtherNet/IP option card which supports Device Level Ring (DLR) topologies. And for greater improved machine performance, optional communication cards such as PROFIBUS™ DP and DeviceNet™ may be installed.
The drive has a power rating of 200 to 240 Volts AC (-15%, +10%), 1-phase input with EMC filter and a 0 to 230 Volts 3-phase output. Input voltage range for the 25A-A4P8N114 AC drive is 170 to 264 Volts and output current of 2.5 A, with a total watt loss of 29 Watts. Its output ratings for normal duty are 0.5 HP and 0.4 kW and for heavy duty is 0.5 HP and 0.4 kW.
