The Allen-Bradley 25A-A8P0N114 is a PowerFlex 523 single-phase AC drive. It comes with a standard USB port that lets the user connect the standard control module of this drive directly to a computer for uploading, downloading, and flashing new settings to the drive. Its 5-digit, 16-segment LCD screen is a multi-language human interface module (HIM) type with the descriptive QuickView scrolling text feature. Note that input on this drive is via its integral keypad only. It has an EMC filtered, single-phase input voltage of 240 Volts AC and can supply up to 8A for output current for loads that can scale up to 1.5 KW or 2.0 HP.
The 25A-A8P0N114 supports both V/F and Sensorless Vector Control (SVC) Motor Control Modes, also it has a PID loop that can be tuned to different applications and loads requirements to enhance performance and flexibility. Multiple STOP MODES are available such as Ramp, Coast, DC-Brake, and Ramp-to-Stop. It can be configured for a wide range of ACCEL/DECEL times that can range from 0 to 600 seconds in 0.01-second increments. The available I/O on the 25A-A8P0N114 are one (1) form C relay output, one (1) unipolar voltage or current analog input, and five (5) 24 Volts DC digital inputs; four (4) of these inputs are programmable. It measures approximately 7.08 x 3.42 x 6.77 inches.
Common/Shared DC bus applications are fully supported by this drive, which results in higher energy efficiency, especially in applications where a frequent start/stop or Acceleration/Deceleration of multiple motors occurs. Its operating temperature is -20 to 50 degrees Celsius and the maximum operating altitude is 1000 meters or 3280 feet. This drive has an IP 20 NEMA/open type enclosure and zero stacking, with the driveable to be connected to other drives horizontally or vertically. It also has a completely modular design with detachable modules for Control, Power, Communications, and braking resistors.
The 25A-A8P0N114 includes multiple options for connectivity to modern industrial networks, some are built-in and some through optional communications modules. Example protocols include Profibus DP, DeviceNet, and RS485/DSI. The 25A-A8P0N114 can be programmed and configured easily using either “Connected Components Workbench” or “Studio 5000 Logix Designer” PC Software.
