The 25A-D6P0N114 is typically installed to control the operation of an AC motor. It allows carrying out of basic motor control operation such as Start / Stop; Forward / Reverse; Jog; Manual and Automatic control of a motor. Speed control, which is the primary purpose of this is accomplished through any of the configured control methods supported by the 25A-D6P0N114. Control methods such as Sensorless Vector Control (SVC), Volts / Hertz (V/F) control, Sinusoidal Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) and Economizer SVC are supported by this drive. With these control method the drive is capable of implementing not only speed control but Torque control as well.

The 25A-D6P0N114 may also be used to lower energy consumption and implement motor protection during start-up, shut-down, idle and active operation of the drive. Programmable features such as Ramp-up, Ramp down, Acceleration, Deceleration help protect the motor from stress during sudden change of speed. Different motor stop modes are also available that may be used to suit the type of operation needed by the application.

The 25A-D6P0N114 is configured through the embedded Human Interface Module (HIM) with LCD display and embedded buttons. It also supports remote configuration using the Connected Components Workbench (CCW) and Studio 5000 Logix Designer programming software.

The Allen Bradley 25A-D6P0N114 drive supports multiple AC motor control methods, including the conventional Volts/Hertz (V/F), Field/Torque oriented Sensorless Vector Control (SVC) and Sinusoidal PWM. An additional feature of the 25A-D6P0N114 is that the Electrical energy regeneration during motor deceleration can be recovered, instead of being wasted in a braking resistor, and can be shared to other accelerating or running motors using the common/Shared DC bus feature, to achieve maximum utilization of consumed power. The Allen Bradley 25A-D6P0N114 has many digital, analog, and programmable I/O channels that can be applied to drive start, stop, reverse, and speed commands, and can operate an alarm contact or even send selective feedback for metering or speed reference to another device. The I/Os that are available include an Analog Input (1) and an Analog Output (1), which can be configured to either unipolar voltage or current (i.e 0 to 10 Volts or 4 to 20 mA) operation. Five (5) Digital Inputs can be set to operate in Sink/Source modes and this unit has one (1) Relay Output. The PowerFlex 523 25A-D6P0N114 is designed to withstand harsh input voltage conditions through a multitude of protection features, including a removable MOV (Metal Oxide Varistor), connected to the ground to provide trouble-free operation when the 25A-D6P0N114 is used on ungrounded distribution systems.
