The 25B-B032N104 PowerFlex 525 Adjustable Frequency AC drive is also known as Variable Ferquency Drive (VFD) or Variable Speed Drive (VSD). This industrial electronic equipment is Rockwell-Automation’s solution for implementing basic and advanced motor controls, by implementing basic motor commands as well as modulating speed control. Not only speed control, but this is compatible of being used in application where varying Torque is needed.

Through the variety of programmable control methods supported by the 25B-B032N104 such as Sinusoidal Pulse Width Modulation (PWM), Volts/Hertz also known as Scalar Control, Sensorless Vector Control, Economizer SVC motor control, Closed Loop Velocity Vector Control, Surface Mount and Interior Permanent Magnet Motor (without encoder), Interior Permanent Magnet Motor (with encoder), this drive is capable of providing user and process requirement type of control.

This drive may be operated in variety of ways. Firstly, via the embedded keypad and LCD combination that comes with the drive. This assembly is also called Human Interface Module (HIM). Secondly, via the embedded Input and output channels composed of Seven (7) Sink / Source Discrete Inputs, One (1) N.O.; One (1) N.C. Contacts, Two (2) Digital / Optocoupler Discrete Outputs, Two (2) 0-10VDC; 0-20mA, Analog inputs and One (1) 0-10VDC; 0-20mA analog output. External signaling devices is wired to these specific inputs channels and linked to an appropriate parameter that dictate the drive operation.

The 25B-B032N104 comes with a standard control module that is the same for all the PowerFlex drives with the MainsFree configuration that allow users of the 25B-B032N104 to simply connect the control drive to a standard personal computer through the standard USB cable.

The 25B-B032N104 may also be installed with communication adapters that is attached within the drive’s reserve adapter slot. PowerFlex drives feature a detachable control module and power module. This allows the drives to have simultaneous installation and configuration. The 25B-B032N104 comes with fast and easy installation features. The 25B-B032N104 has a removable MOV-to-ground feature allowing the drive for use in ungrounded distribution. It comes with an integral brake transistor and designed for 3-Phase, 240 Volts AC input voltage rating. It also has an output current of 32 Amps with an IP20 NEMA open type of enclosure. The 25B-B032N104 has a standard interface module with Frame D as the frame size. The 25B-B032N104 also has no EMC filtering option.
