The 25C-D024N104 drive is an AC-powered adjustable frequency drive. It has been designed and manufactured by Allen-Bradley/Rockwell Automation as a member of the PowerFlex 527 series. The Allen-Bradley 25C-D024N104 is a PowerFlex 527 AC Drive. This is a premium 520-Series AC drive with sophisticated features for open and closed loop motor speed control. The 25C-D024N104 drive is designed to work exclusively with a Logix Programmable Automation Controller (PAC) by Allen Bradley. This allows the user to benefit from using the same configuration tool when using both servo and AC drives in an application. The 25C-D024N104, like all PowerFlex 527 drives, has a built-in dual port for EtherNet and safety over the network. The Studio 5000 Logix Designer application should be used for this AC drive’s configuration and programming procedures; this software has a centralized configuration for both the drives and the controllers.  Furthermore, the Logix controller keeps the drive’s parameters in memory, which enables fast automatic AC drive replacement.

The 25C-D024N104 AC drive has a 480 Volts AC 3-phase armature voltage. It controls motors up to 11 kW (15 Hp) with 24 A rated current. Its enclosure type is IP20, but an EMC filter is not integrated. Various types of control can be applied over this inverter, including SVC (Sensorless Vector Control), Volts/Hertz, SVC economizer, closed loop (velocity and position) vector control (encoder card needed - optional). This drive can be incorporated into a lot of different networking topologies (DLR functionality is supported). The 25C-D024N104 AC drive offers a selectable Safe Torque-off Implementation, along with a hardwired integrated safe torque-off functionality, although it is recommended to use a controller based safety function over Ethernet, configured within Studio 5000 software.

All PowerFlex 527 drives, including the 25C-D024N104, have a removable terminal block feature for the simplified installation procedure. Horizontal and vertical installation is available (fan kit must be installed for horizontal positioning option). Its operating temperature range is 0 to 50 degrees Celsius, and zero stacking can be used only for temperatures up to 45 degrees Celsius. Install this AC drive with either input fuses or an input circuit breaker. The product’s weight is 3.9 kilograms (8.6 pounds) and the space required for installation is around 130 x 260 x 212 millimeters (5.12 x 10.24 x 8.35 inches).
