The 25C-D4P0N104 is an Allen-Bradley manufactured electronic device that is part of the PowerFlex 527 product family of Adjustable Frequency AC Drive. More commonly known in the industry as Varibale Frequency Drive or Variable Speed Drive (VSD), the 25C-D4P0N104 enables an application driven by an industrial AC motor to be controlled with modulating speed or torque. Aside from this, the 25C-D4P0N104 may also be configured to implement position and velocity loop control, similar to the control capability of Kinetix Servo drives. The 25C-D4P0N104’s input supply voltage range is 323-528 VAC, 3-Phase. It has an output voltage of 0-460 VAC, 3-Phase and programmable output frequency of 0-590 Hz. Output current is 4.0 Amperes while output power is 2.0 HP or 1.5 kW for both normal and heavy duty-operation. The 25C-D4P0N104 is provided with embedded I/O terminal that supports wiring of a variety of input and output devices. Discrete input channels amount to Three (3) semi-programmable and Four (4) Fully programmable sink / source inputs. These inputs may be connected to pushbutton devices that represent START / STOP / JOG / FORWARD / REVERSE commands. For external speed reference, the 25C-D4P0N104 accommodates Two analog input which is comprised of One (1) Unipolar –10…10V and One (1) bipolar 0…10V or 4…20 mA. The drive also has Two (2) Form C contacts and One (1) optocoupler output outputs that may be used to activate indicating devices for reporting of the drive’s operational status. For speed feedback or re-transmitting of signals to data loggers, analog indicating devices, this drive is also provided with Two (2) 0-10VDC / 0-20mA configurable analog output channels.
