The Allen-Bradley 25C-D6P0N114 is part of the PowerFlex 527 Adjustable Frequency AC Drive product family. This drive is primarily used to control the speed of an AC motor by varying the output frequency with the use of specific programmable control methods. It is also used to carry-out basic motor operation as well as implement protective and efficient programmable sequences to protect the motor and consume less energy when operating it.

The 25C-D6P0N114 may also be referred to as a Variable Frequency Drive (VFD), Variable Speed Drive (VSD) or a Frequency Inverter. This drive is powered by providing an input supply voltage of 380-480VAC, 3-phase. It has an output voltage range of 0-460VAC, 3-Phase, rated Current of 6.0 A, Power of 2.2 kW (3.0 HP) for both normal and heavy-duty operation and output frequency of 0-590 Hz. It has a motor efficiency of 97.5%; carrier frequency of 2...8 kHz, Drive rating based on 4 kHz, frequency accuracy of ±0.05% of within the set output frequency.

This drive implements speed or frequency control using Basic Volts/Hertz, Fan/Pump Volts/Hertz, Sensorless Vector Control (SVC) and Sensorless Vector Control (SVC) Economizer. Each control method has specific performance rating such as ±1% of base speed across a 60:1 speed range for Volts per Hertz and ±0.5% of base speed across a 100:1 speed range both for Sensorless Vector and Sensorless Vector Economizer.

This drive is compatible with the Logix family of Programmable Automation Controllers (PAC) such as GuardLogix, CompactLogix and ControlLogix controllers for implementing premiere integration option wherein the drive operational parameters are directly integrated to the controller by utilizing embedded instruction that are also compatible with the Kinetix Drive system.

It also offers over-current protection with Class 10 Motor Overload Protection and it offers users a ride thru time of 100ms and 0.5ms (Power and Logic) and a maximum short-circuit rating of 100,000A. It has 15% / +10% voltage tolerance range with a displacement factor of 0.98 across entire speed range and a DC BUS choke range of 15-18.5 kW (20-25 HP). The 25C-D6P0N104 provides main control via the V/Hz Control, Sensorless Vector Control, and the Closed Loop Velocity Vector Control, with a carrier frequency range of Velocity Loop: – Closed Loop Velocity Vector Control (with an optional encoder card) carrier frequency of 2-8 kHz (4 kHz as drive default), and with a drive performance of ±1% of the base speed across a 60:1 speed range. The 25C-D6P0N104’s output voltage range is 0V to the rated motor voltage, and its output frequency range is 0-500Hz, and its drive efficiency is 97.5%. The drive has programmable digital input control with Source or Sink modes that are selectable by a DIP switch, and it has 2 isolated, ±10V and 4-20mA, 10-bit Analog inputs with 100 K Ohms and 250 Ohms of input impedance. It has a SELV/PELV supply safety input with <10mA input current and an input ON-state voltage range of 18-26.4V DC. The drive has 2 programmable Form A and 1 programmable Form B Relay outputs with 3A resistive and 0.5A inductive ratings at 30V DC, 125V AC, and 240V AC. The drive comes with the optional incremental, dual channel encoder cards with 5V, 12V, and 250mA supply ratings and a duty cycles of 50%, and +10%. The 25C-D6P0N104 comes with a built-in dual-port EtherNet/IP port for network connectivity, and it has a multi-language fixed keypad with an LCD control interface screen, and it supports the MainsFree programming via a USB cable. The drive has functional temperature limits of -4-122 oF, at a non-condensing relative humidity range of 5-95%, and is built for storage at a temperature between -40 and 185 oF.
