The 25C-E9P9N104 PowerFlex 527 AC Drive is part of the PowerFlex 520 series of AC drives manufactured by Allen-Bradley. It is rated at 600 Volts AC input voltage, 3-phase power, 7.5 Horsepower normal/heavy duty output, 5.5 kilowatts, 9.9 Amps of output current, 50 to 60 Hertz input frequency, 47 to 63 Hertz maximum output frequency, and a frame size of C, and it weighs 4.536 kilograms. It features an IP20 (NEMA/Open) enclosure which also houses a 5-digit LCD and keypad input for simple user interactivity. This drive offers closed-loop speed and basic position control as well as an optional encoder card for speed and position feedback, and it is suitable for machine applications that need speed control such as in-feed and out-feed conveyors, pumps, and fans. The 25C-E9P9N104 PowerFlex 527 drive can be installed either vertically or horizontally. Like other PowerFlex 527 AC drives, the 25C-E9P9N104 PowerFlex drive relies on the Studio 5000 Logix Designer software package for its configuration and programming requirements. It shares the same software package and configuration with Allen-Bradley Kinetix Servo Drives. Its communication/connectivity requirements are achieved through its built-in dual port for EtherNet/IP modules that supports both linear and ring topologies, easy integration into the Logix environment, Device Level Ring (DLR) functionality, and integrated safety over the network. Note that the 25C-E9P9N104 PowerFlex 275 drive is designed to be used exclusively with Allen-Bradley Logix Programmable Automation Controllers (PAC). It offers enhanced integration capabilities with Logix Programmable controllers for improving machine performance by using the motion instruction set in the Studio 5000 software for machine synchronization and control. Apart from the Studio 5000 Logix Designer applications, the 25C-E9P9N104 PowerFlex drive also connects and operates with the ControlLogix 1756-L7x, GuardLogix 1756-L7xS, and CompactLogix 5370 controllers’ application. The 25C-E9P9N104 PowerFlex drive offers real-time diagnostics that help to increase machine uptime and provide precise drive information such as time-stamped events, which facilitates easy fault detection and resolution. When its safety guard is triggered, its built-in hardwired safe torque-off functionality removes rotational power from the motor without powering down the drive. In addition, the 25C-E9P9N104 PowerFlex drive features bus overvoltage and undervoltage trip protection, overcurrent protection, ground-fault trip, and output short-circuit trip protection.
