The Allen-Bradley 20-COMM-ER module is an Ethernet/IP adapter module. It is designed for installation in Allen-Bradley PowerFlex 7 series drives. Both peer-to-peer and master-slave hierarchies are supported. The adapter supports the full duplex and half duplex modes at 10 Mbps and 100 Mbps data rates. It also supports a maximum of 30 TCP connections. The minimum requested packet interval is 5 milliseconds. A maximum of 400 total packets per second can be handled by the adapter. The supported rates for the DPI protocol are 125 kbps and 500 kbps.

The power consumption rating of the 20-COMM-ER adapter module is 350 milliamps at 5 Volts DC. The power needs to be supplied by the host drive. The weight of the 20-COMM-ER module is 85 grams.
