The Allen-Bradley PowerFlex 700S AC drive family supports Phase II control for demanding applications. These drives come with the DriveLogix software which combines the powerful Logix engine with the high performance of the PowerFlex AC drives, resulting in an economical control solution. PowerFlex 700S drives come with multiple reset defaults for fast voltage/frequency setup. The available power ratings are 50 to 1500 kilowatts at 690 Volts AC, 1 to 1600 Horsepower at 500 to 600 Volts AC, 1 to 1250 Horsepower at 380 to 480 Volts AC, and 1 to 100 horsepower at 200 to 240 Volts AC. Both 6-pulse and 3-phase input provide a full rating for the drives while single-phase input provides only 50% of the rated current.
The PowerFlex 700S drives can be configured through an optional LCD HMI, a remote keypad, and through computer-based drive management software such as the DriveTools SP and Connected Components Workbench software. The PowerFlex 700S drives come with SynchLink, a high-speed fiber-optic link for drive-to-drive synchronization and data transmission. Optional communication modules for serial, Ethernet, and ControlNet networks are also available. Multiple feedback options, including an incremental encoder, resolver, and a high-resolution encoder are available. Furthermore, the Stahl SSI and Temposonics interfaces for feedback devices are also available. Multiple motor control algorithms are supported by PowerFlex 700S drives, including flux vector control. PowerFlex 700S drives are certified by the ATEX, CE, C-Tick, and UL standards. The working temperature range for open and IP 20 rated drives is from 0 to 50 degrees Celsius while for IP 56 and NEMA/UL Type 1 drives, the working temperature range is from 0 to 40 degrees Celsius.
