The 20DD3P4A3NYNACNNN is a PowerFlex Adjustable Frequency AC Drive manufactured by Allen-Bradley. This module is part of the Allen-Bradley PowerFlex 700S AC Drive Series. The Allen-Bradley 20DD3P4A3NYNACNNN features 480 Volts AC voltage, 3 phases, a numeric LCD human-machine interface module, and 3.4 input Amps. The 20DD3P4A3NYNACNNN PowerFlex 700S AC Drive has housed in an IP20 or NEMA Type 1 Enclosure. The 20DD3P4A3NYNACNNN is characterized with 3 rated current values; a continuous current rating, a 1-minute current rating, and a 3-second current rating. Practically, the 1-minute current rating is close to 110% of the constant current rating. The open-loop function resets the current limit back to the current short-term rating when in normal operating conditions. The current limit is lowered to the continuous level when the open-loop function detects an overload. The 20DD3P4A3NYNACNNN is equipped with several filters that are meant to help in tuning the drive, for instance, a low-pass filter is used to transmit low frequencies, including attenuating high frequencies. The 20DD3P4A3NYNACNNN also adjusts the torque current limit level depending on the values of heatsink temperature.
The 20DD3P4A3NYNACNNN AC Drive is subjected to some faults as a result of conditions within or outside the drive which generally affect the running of applications and the drive itself. The conditions that cause drive faults are more critical than applications errors, and when they happen, operations should be discontinued. The errors which occur on the 20DD3P4A3NYNACNNN are shown to the users through the human-machine interface module, or the communications or the contact outputs. The 20DD3P4A3NYNACNNN should be installed on a metallic platform while in a vertical orientation. When disconnecting the 20DD3P4A3NYNACNNN, users should ensure that the drive output terminals U, V, and W are capable of disabling the drive when it is opened during the drive performance. The 20DD3P4A3NYNACNNN is equipped with an auxiliary contact for simultaneously disabling the drive. The 20DD3P4A3NYNACNNN can also be utilized with an output contactor between the drive and the motor. The contactor can be opened under load without damaging the 20DD3P4A3NYNACNNN. However; the users should have a programmed “Enable” input drive and the input should be opened at the same time as the output contactor.
