The 1391-150ET servo controller is a servo controller that belongs to the 1391 series of AC servo controllers that have been designed and manufactured by Allen-Bradley. This controller provides input protection against transient voltages, a power line contactor that comes embedded with a shunt regulator across the DC bus, a standard 300 Volts DC power supply, and a shunt regulator resistor. The Allen-Bradley 1391-150ET servo controller uses different 3-phase voltage ratings of 240, 380, 415, and 480 Volts AC at a frequency of 60 Hertz and a kVA rating of 15 kVA. It also comes designed to use a secondary voltage of 230 Volts AC and for single-phase voltages of 36 Volts AC.


The Allen-Bradley 1391-150ET servo controller is mainly used to control the speed and torque of an AC servo motor in a closed-loop system. It is important to note that these speed variances will be performed smoothly to avoid wear and damage to the servo motor. The recommended cables for installing the Allen-Bradley 1391-150ET servo controller are those that are rated for 75 degrees Celsius minimum. It is also recommended that the wiring that is employed to connect the controllers and motors does not exceed 15.2 meters in length since longer cables might cause voltage drops. This servo controller must be installed on a flat and rigid vertical surface and clearances of at least 7.9 millimeters must be left on each side to promote ventilation.
