The Allen-Bradley 1391-T100DT is an Isolation Transformer specially designed to power up bulletin 1391 servo controllers. It is used to isolate a servo controller from an AC power source for safety reasons. It provides galvanic isolated three-phase 230 Volts AC and 35.5 Volts AC single-phase voltages required for 1391 series controllers to work properly. This item secures controller from overcurrent and other potential electrical failures. The 1391-T100DT outputs 10.0 kVA of power. It receives 240 and 480 Volts AC voltage at its input (primary) side. The 1391-T100DT has four 35.5 Volts AC C.T. windings available to connect up to four Allen-Bradley 1391 series servo controllers.
The transformer has one thermal overload switch. This switch is actuated when transformer’s temperature reaches 185 degrees Celsius (± 5 degrees Celsius). The information from this switch is available to you at terminals designated with P1 and P2. This switch is 115 Volts AC rated. It is usually connected in line with “drive o.k.” and “motor o.k.” internal protective switches as a condition for the system to operate. The Allen-Bradley 1391-T100DT is one of largest transformers with dimensions of 12.0 x 12.5 x 16.0 inches (305 x 317 x 406 millimeters). The shipping weight of the transformer is 140 pounds (63.6 kilograms). You should provide proper ventilation in the cabinet for this transformer because it can dissipate up to 500 Watts at full rated power output. The 1391-TA2 Transformer Enclosure Kit can be ordered separately to achieve NEMA type 1 enclosure rating of the transformer.
