The Allen-Bradley 150-C108NBR is part of the Smart Motor Controller product family of Soft-Starters. This catalog number specifically belongs to the SMC-3 category which is the entry level soft-starter category. It features Five (5) start and stopping modes which may be implemented to the partner motor. These modes are Soft Start, Kickstart, Current Limiting, Coast to stop, and Soft-stop. When appropriately configured and used, the connected motor may be protected from the unwanted effects high-levels of inrush current as well as mechanical stress brought by sudden starting and stopping of the motor.

The 150-C108NBR has a rated output current of 108 Amperes. It’s line voltage supply requirement is 200-460VAC, 3-Phase, 50 and 60 Hz while the control voltage requirement is 24VDC / 24VAC. It has an open type enclosure and support direct panel mounting to the enclosure’s sub-panel. It also comes with built-in Silicon Controller Rectifier (SCRD) bypass / run contactor and integral hold-to-test / push-to-reset button. For the SMC 3 Motor controller including the 150-C108NBR, configuration and security may be implemented using the embedded DIP switches that is provided with this controller.

Communication to the 150-C108NBR is supported by the built-in DPI port. This port may also be used to attached an optional Human Interface Module (HMI) to enable local configuration, operation and monitoring of the Smart Motor Controller.

The 150-C60NBR has a control circuit with 24V AC/DC of control voltage, and a 250V insulation, and 2.5KV of impulse at 50-60Hz. the controller has a 30V DC/250V AC auxiliary contact, with 250V AC insulation, and an electromagnetic control circuit with a single 240V AC normally open (N.O.) relay contact.

The 150-C60NBR is designed to function without de-rating at an altitude of 2000m (max) and can withstand an operational shock of 15g with a vibration of 1g. It comes in an open-style enclosure and is rated IP2X for use in Pollution Degree 2 Environments. The 150-C60NBR is CE, c-UL-us, CSA, and CCC-certified, and it measures 2.83in x 8.11in x 5.12in.
