The Allen-Bradley 150-C16NBR is an SMC-3 solid-state smart motor controller that is a 3-phase and 3-wire type with Delta compatibility and an open-type enclosure. Its input line voltage is 200 to 480 Volts AC, 50/60 Hertz, control voltage is 24 Volts AC/DC, and ampere rating is 16 A and ranges from 5.3 to 16 A. At 350% starting duty, it has a 1.5 to 3 Hp at 200 Volts AC, 1.5 to 5 Hp at 230 Volts AC, and 5 to 10 Hp at 460 Volts AC, while at 450% starting duty, its Hp is 1.5 to 3 for both 200 and 230 Volts AC and 5 to 7.5 Hp at 460 Volts AC. This controller can be used for various applications such as fans, pumps, mixers, chillers, lifts, compressors, conveyors, and many others.

There are five modes of operation available with this controller and these are coast-to-rest, soft stop, soft start, current limit start, and kick start. The 150-C16NBR controller also has built-in protection features, particularly phase loss/open load, over-temperature, phase reversal protection, shorted SCR, phase imbalance, and electronic motor overload protection.

Present on the 150-C16NBR controller is a rotary switch for configuring its motor FLA. It also has DIP switches for setting up of the START/STOP profile and other configurations. This controller is also equipped with a reset button that doubles as a hold-to-test button to check for faults present in the controller, minimizing its downtimes. Also available on this controller is an LED status indicator that shows RUN, OFF, and fault conditions of the controller. Note that the type of fault is indicated by the number of flashes given.
