The 150-C30NCR is a Solid-State Controller intended to implement efficient motor starting and stoppage through a variety of configurable control methods such as Soft Start, Current Limit Start, Selectable Kickstart, Coast-to-rest, and Soft Stop control methods. This device, typically known as Soft starter is part of the Smart Motor Controller series of Allen-Bradley, particularly belonging to the SMC-3 sub-category. The 150-C30NCR has an output current of 30 Amperes with a line voltage of 200-600 VAC, 3-Phase at a frequency of 50-60 Hz while the control voltage of this controller is rated 24 VDC / 24 VAC. It is provided with a pair of electromechanical relays in the form of Normally Open (N.O.) contacts rated 0.6 A @ 120V AC and 0.3 A @ 240V AC with a Thermal current of 1 Ampere. These contacts are designed to depict the presence of Overload / Fault condition and Normal / Up-to-Speed operation. These output contacts can be wired with external indicating devices such as pilot lamps for local or remote monitoring of the controller’s operation. Adjustable time settings are provided to each of the configurable control methods specifically, 2, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, or 30 s for start times; 150%, 250%, 350%, and 450% of full load current for current limit; 0, 0.5, 1.0, or 1.5 s for Kick start; Off, 100%, 200%, or 300% of the start time setting when wired for soft stop. Initial Torque may also be defined to this controller with available selections of 15%, 25%, 35%, and 65% of locked rotor torque.
The 150-C30NCR Smart Motor Controller by Allen-Bradley is a 30A 200-600V AC 3-phase open enclosure motor controller built for three-phase motor operation. It has Soft Start, Soft stop, selectable kick start, and the current limit start operational mode. It offers phase reversal protection through the DIP switch which verifies and detects input power phasing. It also monitors and manages high temperatures through the built-in internal Thermistors. The 150-C30NCR has current transformers on each of the three phases which provide standard motor overload protection. It has a UL/cUL rated power circuit with a voltage rating of 200-600V AC and an isolation voltage of 600V AC. The 150-C30NCR’s power circuit has a high potential voltage of 2200V AC, an impulse voltage of 6KV, and a DV/DT protection at 1000V/µs. Its control circuit has an operating voltage of 24V AC/DC, 250V AC insulation voltage, 2.5KV impulse voltage, and a dielectric withstand of 1500V AC. The module has a heat dissipation of 19W at a current overload range of 10-30A. The 150-C30NCR has an Auxiliary contactor with an electromagnetic relay control circuit and a Normally Open contact Type. Its Auxiliary contactor has an overall rating of 250V AC operational voltage, a 250V AC insulation voltage, an impulse voltage of 2.5KV, and a dielectric withstands of 1500V AC all at 50-60Hz. It has a 0-50deg. Celsius operational temperature range and a 5-95% non-condensing humidity condition. It has an operation vibration of up to 1G and a shocking rate of 15G. It weighs approximately 0.86Kg (1.9lb) and has shipping dimensions of 9in x 12in x 6in with the enclosure.
