The Allen-Bradley 150-C3NBR is a solid-state 3-phase and SMC-3 controller with Delta compatibility, that has an open-type enclosure. It comes with DIP switches for faster configuration of various settings of the controller, including its START/STOP profile. It also has a rotary switch to efficiently set up its motor FLA. This controller is equipped with a reset button that can also be used to check the controller for faults via its hold-to-test function. The LED status indicator present displays for fault, OFF, and RUN conditions of the controller, with the type of fault identified through the number of flashes given by the indicator. Built-in protection is available with the 150-C3NBR controller, including phase reversal protection, shorted SCR, over-temperature, electronic motor overload protection, phase loss/open load, and phase imbalance. It also features five modes of operation, namely current limit start, soft start, soft stop, coast-to-rest, and kick start. Its Hp at a starting duty of 350% is 0.5 at both 200 and 230 Volts AC and 0.5 to 1.5 at 460 Volts AC as well as 0.5 at both 200 and 230 Volts AC and 0.5 to 1 at 460 Volts AC at a starting duty of 450%. Input line voltage of the 150-C3NBR controller is 200 to 480 Volts AC, 50/60 Hertz, and its control voltage is 24 Volts AC/DC. It has an ampere rating of 3 A and its current ranges from 1 to 3 A. The Allen-Bradley 150-C3NBR is a Smart Motor Controller (SMC) that is a component product of the SMC-3 Product range. This controller is a Solid State Device that is used to control the startup and stopping characteristics of the motor, protecting the unit from mechanical and electrical stresses as well as lowering energy consumption.
The 150-C3NBR can be configured to perform Soft Start, Selectable kickstart, Current limit start, Cost-to-rest, and Soft Stop. With soft start, the output voltage of the controller from user-adjustable starting torque setting out selectable start time. This parameter has adjustable start times of 2, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, or 30 seconds. For selectable kickstart, users can configure a specific voltage boost during start-up to allow the motor to break away loads. Available configurable settings are 0, 0.5, 1.0, or 1.5 seconds in reference with 450% of Full Load Current (FLA). For Current limit start, constant current can be set to the motor during start-up. Selectable values are 150%, 250%, 350%, and 450% of FLA. For Coast-to-rest, voltage supply is cut-off to the motor, allowing it to rotate until it stops. There is no time setting to this function as it is just enabled or disabled. With Soft Stop, output voltage towards the motor is ramped down based on the selected ramp time by the user. Selectable values are off, 100%, 200%, or 300% of the start time setting when wired.
