The 150-C9NBR is a Smart Motor Control that belongs to the SMC-3 series of Solid-State soft starter devices by Allen-Bradley. This device is mainly used to implement an efficient startup and shutdown as well as contribute to energy savings. This soft starter device is capable of being configured with a variety of control methods such as Soft Start, Current Limit Start, Selectable Kickstart, Coast-to-rest, and Soft Stop. Each of these control methods come with adjustable time settings particularly 2, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, or 30 s for Start time, 15%, 25%, 35%, and 65% of locked rotor torque for initial Torque, 150%, 250%, 350%, and 450% of full load current (FLA) for current limit adjustment, 0, 0.5, 1.0, or 1.5 s for kick start and Off, 100%, 200%, or 300% of the start time setting when wired for soft stop. The 150-C9NBR is compatible for use with line-connected and delta-connected motors. It has output current ratings of 9 Amperes, input voltage rating of 200-460V AC, 3-Phase, 50/60 Hz, and control voltage of 24 VAC / VDC. It comes with an Open type enclosure and configurable overload class rating of 0, 15, or 20. It also has an integral DV/DT Protection rating of 1000V/µs and an overvoltage category of III. The 150-C9NBR has an operating temperature of -5…+50 °C (23…122 °F) when installed in an open environment and -5…+40 °C (23…104 °F) in the enclosed environment. It has an operating altitude of 2000 m (6560 ft) with a pollution degree of 2.

The Allen-Bradley 150-C9NBR is an SMC-3 solid-state smart motor controller used in various applications such as fans, compressors, lifts, conveyors, pumps, chillers, lifts, mixers, and many others. This 3-phase controller features five modes of operation, particularly current limit start, soft start, soft stop, kickstart, and coast-to-rest. Other features of this controller focus on protection including electronic motor overload protection, shorted SCR, phase reversal protection, phase imbalance, phase loss/open load, and over-temperature. The 150-C9NBR controller also has Delta compatibility and an open-type enclosure. This 3-wire controller has a reset button that can also be used as a hold-to-test button to check the controller for faults present. Its DIP switches allow the user to configure various settings of the controller, including its START/STOP profile. It also has a rotary switch that lets the user set up the motor FLA quickly. Also present is an LED status indicator showing the RUN, fault, and OFF statuses, with the fault type identified by the number of flashes made. It has a Hp of 0.75 to 2 at both 200 and 230 Volts AC and 1.5 to 5 at 460 Volts AC at a starting duty of 350% and 0.75 to 1.5 at 200 Volts AC, 0.75 to 2 at 230 Volts AC, and 1.5 to 3 at 460 Volts AC at a starting duty of 450%. Its current rating is 9 A and its range is from 3 to 9 A, its input line voltage is 200 to 480 Volts AC, 50/60 Hertz, and its control voltage is 24 Volts AC/DC. Its compact size allows it to be stacked together and create a modular control system. The Allen-Bradley 150-C9NBR is a motor controller from Allen-Bradley. Specifically, this is a Soft Starter, used with 3-Phase motors for implementing controlled starting and stopping of the motor. It is part of the SMC 3 Smart Motor Controllers (SMC) which support five (5) standard operations such as Soft Start; Selectable kickstart; Current limit start; Cost-to-rest and Soft Stop. The 150-C9NBR has a front panel installed with a rotary switch used for setting the controller overload setting. Selectable settings are 3 Amperes to 9 Amperes, in reference to the controller’s Full Load Current (FLA) rating. It also comes with a single LED indicator that indicates the error state of the controller. Overload is indicated by 1; Overtemperature by 2; Phase Reversal by 3; Phase Loss or Open load by 4; Phase imbalance by 5; Shorted SCR by 6, and Test status by 7. The front panel also has a writable area for writing the configured Overload value. It also has a dual function button located at the upper left of the controller that triggers Test when held or Reset the controller when pushed. The 150-C9NBR has a line voltage requirement of 200-460 Volts AC, 3-Phase with a frequency input of 50/60 Hertz. It also has a control voltage of 24 Volts AC/Volts DC and delivers an output current of 9 Amperes. It can be used for Line and Delta connected motors. It has an open-type enclosure and supports panel mounting via the provided mounting screws at the base of the controller. Mains input voltage is terminated to the terminal strip on top of the device while output wirings are terminated on the bottom terminal strip.
