The 150-A180NBDB-8B4 smart motor controller is intended for use with industrial squirrel-cage induction motors that operate on three-phase power sources. The unit is part of the SMC Plus product series that offers controllers for industrial motors with current ratings from 1 to 1000 Amps. The controller series supports several different modes of operation and this particular controller model includes three standard operation modes which are the soft start with selectable kickstart, the current limit start, and the full voltage start. The 150-A180NBDB-8B4 controller can also be used to control resistive loads and it includes an energy saver functionality that reduces energy consumption when the attached motor is lightly loaded or unloaded for a long time.
