The 150-F108FBD motor controller is a non-combination enclosed (IP 65, Type 4/12) SMC-Flex smart motor controller that is manufactured by Allen-Bradley. This 150 series solid-state controller has a 108 Amps current rating, and a 200 to 460 Volts AC rated voltage. It incorporates microprocessor-controlled advanced algorithms for 7 different modes of operation that deliver the highest level of efficiency over the whole load range. The controller also features comprehensive and configurable protection mechanisms – overload, short-circuits, overvoltage, unbalance, ground faults, and external PTC connection for motor temperature monitoring. The 150-F108FBD motor controller is used in the starting and stopping phases of the operation of standard 3-phase squirrel cage induction motors. The start mode is selected by the users over an HMI module that is visible on the front of the device. 

The 150-F108FBD motor controller has a programmable keyboard with 5 programming keys, 3 control buttons, and a backlit LCD that provides intuitive control of the device in industrial facilities. There are numerous parameters available for adjusting the controller to act as needed. For example, the users can define the permitted number of motor starts, the initial torque level that is applied, acceleration time, and the restart delay. The Allen-Bradley 150-F108FBD motor controller is 75 Horsepower rated at 460 Volts AC. It has 4 output relays that are user-configured for a specific operation. These relays are 3 Amps/120 Volts AC rated and 1.5 Amps/230 Volts AC rated. This controller can be used to guide more than 1 motor through its starting phase. In this case, the total nameplate current value from all the connected motors must be less than 108 Amps. The jam and stall tracking features must be turned off with this motor connection type for the whole system to be able to operate.
