The Allen-Bradley 150-F1250NBA is a smart controller from the SMC Flex motor controller product range.  The SMC Flex range is designed with multiple features which include an integrated SC bypass, metering, electronic protection against motor overload, an LCD, and support for keypad programming. The 150-F1250NBA is rated for 1250A and 1000 HP at 460V AC. It is available in an open enclosure. The range of input voltage is 200 – 460V AC (-15%, +10%) at 3-phase (50/60 Hz). The range for control voltage is 230/240V AC (at 625-1250 A).

At 200/208 V input, the 150-F1250NBA supports 416 – 1250 A motor current and a maximum of 400 HP (at 60 Hz). At 230 V input, it supports a 416 – 1250 A motor current, a maximum output of 400 kW (at 50 Hz) and 500 HP (at 60 Hz). At 460 V input, the 150-F1250NBA supports 416 – 1250 A motor current, a maximum output of 710 kW (at 50 Hz) and 1000 HP (at 60 Hz). A keypad on the front of the 150-F1250NBA can be used to set up the controller. Additional configuration parameters can be downloaded to the controller from the Drive tools software over the DPI port (which is provided for interfacing with optional communication and human interface modules). Seven standard operating modes are available, including current-limit/soft/limit/dual-ramp/full-voltage start, selectable kickstart, linear speed acceleration and preset slow speed. Optional features include pump control and multiple options for braking including accu-stop, slow speed, and smart motor braking. Oxide varistors (metal type) provide transient protection. Protection is also available for under/over voltage, motor stall/jam/over-load/under-load and controller over-temperature. The heat dissipated by the 150-F1250NBA is 1222 W. The power consumed by the control module is 751 VA (with a maximum rating of 800 VA) and by the heatsink fan is 150 VA. The working temperature range is 23 to 122 °F at 5-95% relative humidity.
