The 150-F25FBD is a microprocessor-based controller for starting the 3 phase squirrel cage induction motors or Wye-delta motors.  The 150-F25FBD is from the 150 series of the SMC Flex Smart Motor Controllers which are manufactured by Allen Bradley.  These controllers have UL 508, EN/IEC 60947-4-2, cULus Listed, CE as pre the EMC directive and low voltage directive, and CCC approvals or certifications. The 150-F25FBD is a solid-state controller with a controller rating of 25 Amps and 15 Hp at 460 Volts AC. It has a NEMA Type 4/12 IP 65 Enclosure. The line input voltage for the controller should remain between 400 and 460 Volts of 3-phase AC power supply. The control voltage ratings are 100 to 240 Volts AC.

The built-in over voltage and under voltage protection in the 150-F25FBD prevents the damage to the equipment due to the abrupt changes in the input line voltage. Additionally, the motor under load and overload protection prevents excessive currents to flow to the motor if it senses an increase or decrease in the current draw to the load. The 150-F25FBD should be operated in an environment having an ambient operating temperature of – 5 to 40 degrees Celsius and the storage and the transportation temperature can vary from -20 to 75 degrees Celsius. Cooling fans or heat exchangers can be used to maintain the temperature around the enclosure to the desired level and prevent any heat built up or freezing. This will ensure longer life expectancy of the device and will help in achieving optimal performance. The 150-F25FBD is designed to be operated in a Pollution degree 2 industrial environments.
