The 150-F25NBD is a solid state, microprocessor based and programmable soft starter that is practical for use in energy saving considerations and motor protection against starting, control and stopping stress.

This product is produced by Allen-Bradley for the 150 Product Bulletin Smart Motor Controller (SMC) Flex motor management devices. It has configurable parameters that may be parameterized through the embedded configuration terminal with embedded keys. Alternatively, the 150-F25NBD may be configured using the DriveTools SP software with part number 9303-4DTS01ENE, DriveExecutive with part number 9303-4DTE01ENE or Connected Components Workbench (CCW) that is free and support Windows 8 and Windows 10 Operating system. All these software packages are compatible with Windows 7, 200, XP and Vista Operating Software. Additionally, the CCW software further support Windows 8 and Windows 10 professional with larger RAM requirement of 8GB minimum.

Alternatively, this soft starter may be installed with a variety of Human Interface Module (HIM) for configuration such as a Hand-Held HIM, Door Mounted HIM which is specifically designed to be installed in enclosure doors. All these HIM module may need HIM cables to establish modular connection that is available also as an accessory.

As these soft starter is microprocessor based and may be configured with the use of configuration software, it may also be installed with optional communication adapters such as RS-485 DF1, ProfiBus, ControlNet, InterBus, Modbus TCP, DeviceNet, Ethernet I/P, Dual Ethernet I/P port, HVAC and ControlNet with Fiber converter communication adapters. All these adapters allow software configuration and networking of multiple soft starter over a selected network.

The 150-F25NBD controller is built from energy-efficient electrical components, and with the selection of the correct motor starting mechanism, the power consumption of the whole system is reduced even more. Motor starting options with this device include the standard soft start (and stop), full voltage, and current limiting starting options. The controller requires a 200 to 460 Volts AC line voltage power supply and a 100 to 240 Volts AC control circuit power supply. The Allen-Bradley 150-F25NBD controller has a power rating of 15 Horsepower and a current rating of 25 Amps at 460 Volts AC. It offers various protection features like overload and short-circuits protection, and some of them are programmable, which makes this device extremely flexible and adaptable. With sequential keystrokes, the users can scroll through the menu and select the desired parameters, which are easily changed.
